Some people trust their first impression about a person’s character because they believe these judgments are generally correct. This is true in some aspect. The way you dressed, your behaviors and your speech are important when you first meet some one or in a job interview.

You may think that appearance is not more important than the person’s soul, but this is not the case according to some experts because your choice of dress is a reflection of your character. The person you meet or interview will pay attention to your clothes consciously or not consciously. So very first thing you should pay attention to is the way you dressed in an interview or your fist meeting.
First impression is first judgment. After first meeting people will behave according to this judgment because they know you thanks to your first behaviors. Your behaviors are a way of expressing what kind of person you are.

topic:the drawbacks of secondlife

Upon r egistering for the program through sloodle.org, there was a significant delay for the activation of the account, prior to the enabling of the Second Life program. Once access was obtained to the Second Life program, a number of us encountered significant downtime with the program which affected the usage of the computer which required reboot.In fact, I already have Quicktime 7.2 on my computer however, the Second Life program could not relate to it. To resolve this issue, I uninstalled the Second Life program, re-installed it and opened the Quicktime 7.2 before connecting to Second Life.Once our Second Life program became active, that is we arrived on Orientation Island, we had to participate in the tutorial for usage of the program. This is a mandatory step before a user can exit Orientation Island and access the remaining features of the program including activation of buttons for navigating, etc. The instructions are not intuitive and several lengthy tutorials must be accessed to understand the features.My overall impression of SecondLife is it can be practical from an information exchange perspective whereby users gather and can experience a 3-d version of a lecture. However, the program requires users to become proficient in navigating the figures and utilizing the menu features in order to ensure accessibility to the information is efficient. The user in the form of an animated figure (avatar) needs to learn to walk, backup, run, gesture, talk and even fly to navigate the space (rocks, hills, buildings, walls, etc.). Due to this requirement I would not recommend this as an overall education tool for distance learners as extended amounts of time learning to navigate can distract users (students and teachers) from the main focus - learning. The program contains what I call Software Noise -- this is limited use of white space. I think Second Life fails to meet the criteria of appropriate learning too.''

Today we use technology intensively almost every field including education. Using technology during classes has many advantages. However; it has many disadvantages, too. Using secondlife is an example of this. It has many drawbacks.It is an hinderance of face to-face communication, it is really hard to get accustomed to it, and students may not concentrate to class.
It is really hard to get accustomed to it. Firstly, as Carol Ann Jane said, it takes time to get an account. you should wait and activate the programe. If you don't look your mail like me you may not activate it.And you need to get a new account.You have know some instructions such as how to walk or other actions. Those can be promblem for students.
In communication, gestures are very important, but gestures you use in Second life are very limited. Also education is a field where the gestures are important. So as Carol Ann Jane, I think secondlife is not efficent in educcation.
It is something like a game.for this reason students may not concantre on the lecture. Instead of following class they mey consume the time in secondlife.
To sum up secondlife is not convenient for class.

Technology have been making our lives easy. In every field we use it. The most common type of it is internet. There are-of course some disadvantages-, but there are more advantages. No matter how much we realize, but it has made our lives easy; we can reach the information we need in secondsit is a source of entertainment, it easies our formal process also.
Internet is vast and quick source of information. When we use libraries we should obey timetable, but when using internet there is no limit. We can use it whenever we want. And we can not look every book about our subject in libraries whereas we can search a great variety of soures.

Using technology in classes has some advantages and disadvantages. Supposing that there was two section for one lecture; in one of them the insructor would use technology very often in the other section instructor wouldn’t use. I would choose the section in which technology will be used, because we can use internet and becuse we live in an age that we have to use technology. However using technology can be hard for students sometimes and it can be unneccessary sometimes.
Technology is useful during class, because we can use internet while writing an essay, for instance. Using internet we can have an opinion about the topic before we begin to write. It will be more quick to write an essay using technology also. We can have an acces to the essays of different people if the instructor use blogger, wordpress… We can have those advantages using technology whereas we can’t have those with a pen and a paper. That is; writing will be advanced if we use technology.

All of us have dreamed of visiting a foreing country atleast once in their life, in my opinion. In fact some of us can think of visiting the whole word. I want to visit a few country for some reasons. For instance I would like to visit Egypt to see
Pyramids, Italy to see the architect, Venice to see and get in gondola… However; I want to see especially Malansia, because my uncle has lived there for two years and I interested in what he says about there, I see its beauty on television and because I wonder its complicated culture.
My uncle has lived Malansia for two years. I heard his really interesting experiences.For instance when you go a restaurant in Chinese neighbourhood, you choose the thing you want to eat from an aquarium when it is alive and after a while it is served as well cooked. You can meet very different people in this country because it is multi-cultural.
Malansia has a tropical climate which means that it is covered with green. I see its beauty on tv. The ocean with every shade of blue and the green of course. There is no winter as in Ankara. As a person who doesn’t like winter I want to go there. In terms of its spectacle, I should also state that the highest towers in the world are in Malansia. They are worth to see, in my opinion.
There are lots of people all over the world in Malansia. There is no suprise to see a person eating a cockroach on the street.I would like to see how lots of different culture makes a new different culture.
If I had a chance I would go Malansia. I hope it won’t be just a dream. Although I will not see some parts of the world, I hope I can see at least one place I want.

Every person is unique in that he/she has different characteristics.You think you know a person completely some time after you meet, but the people you have known for a long time could have some traits you don’t know.I personally have some traits which I think the people- even sometimes my close friends- don’t know.
I could not cheat at exams in the past.Maybe you do not believe, but I could not cheat when everyone did.There was a girl seating next to me.She made me cheat by force.For instance she used to put the papers she prepared in advance to the desk, and I had to take them so that the teacher would not to see them.Then I began to cheat with the help of Songül-the girl.Then I realised that I was cheating in all exam even if I studied hard.Then I stopped to cheat, but I should confess I was cheating the exams which are not important for me ;for example Germany.But for Songül I do not know what my high school life would be like.This is –or I should say this was-one of my traits.
Genarally I don’t angry with people easily , but when I angry…I do not enjoy this traits of mine,but it is enough for changing of my attitude towards a person if he/she make a mistake.I don’t mean of course when she make any mistake I break the relationship with her, but one big mistake would be enough.I would not be offended or I would say her anything.
I enjoy reading and writing poems.I actually enjoy writing At first the poems I wrote were nonsense for me, but then I thought I should share them. some of my poems are published in review which is published at high school and one or two published some other reviews.I got some rewards in competitions.I and my friend Deniz joined some competion of story, but unfortunately we could not get anything at last year.I don’t know whether Deniz writes stil or not but for a long time I haven’t written even a single word.
After all these are three of the traits which you don’t know in my opinion, but there maybe lots of different traits you don’t know even I don’t know.For this reason we can not know a person completely.

I am from Afyonkarahisar.My family live in there now. I graduated from Afyonkarahisar teacher training high school.Last year I and my classmates wanted to study at Metu,but some of us are in İstanbul now.Actually one of my friend -Deniz and I are Metu now,but I stil happy being at Metu.I enjoy reading book especially books like ‘’Siyah Kan’’and also I enjoy the books in turkish literature.I enjoy Turkish poets poems.That is all about me..
As for this lecture it was extremely hard at the beggining at previous semester.Use of blogger and the others was too complicated,but later I began to get accustomed to them and I began to enjoy ;it was amazing to use blogger for instance, we could any topic we wanted and we could make comment to our friends interesting topics.In this term it is benificial to use technology.If we hadn’t use blogger we wouldn’t have seen our friends ideas only the instroductor would have seen them.
We use pbwiki for our projects.In my opinion it was more enjoyable to make some search through web than study from notes for grades.We learn something more using technology.
And this semester we will use technology again.I have some positive opinion for the lecture.I hope it will be enjoyable…
